As a Correctional Security Office Unarmed - Driving Role in Columbia, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting details and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, housing-related areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and contraband-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, completing required reports, and assisting with security-related procedures during movement, visitation, and other controlled activities.

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
