Corrections Facility Security Officer - Entry Authorization

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Monday: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thursday: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report security‑related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior through proper channels.
• Support order at the location by following post instructions, observing inmate movement areas from authorized positions when assigned, and notifying appropriate personnel of security‑related or operational issues.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
