As a Detention Security Officer - Driving Role in Columbia, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

Friday 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM, Saturday 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM, Sunday 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled access points, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization while following established post orders and facility guidelines.
• Support movement control and general order within the location by observing activity, communicating with site contacts, and escalating unusual situations or policy violations as needed.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
