Juvenile Corrections Security Officer - Access Control in Ridgeville, SC is a Part-time security officer position. You will monitor entry points, verify access, support daily operations, conduct patrols, and provide outstanding customer service.

What You’ll Do- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access screening, and other security‑related duties appropriate to a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, document visitor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following post orders and escalating concerns when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to observe conditions and report unusual activity or maintenance‑related concerns.
- Complete required logs, reports, and communication with site contacts regarding access control events, policy violations, and/or emergency response activities.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- COLA: DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test/MMR vaccinations are required.
- At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
