The salary amounts provided represent the minimum and maximum ranges based on years of current agency service plus incentive structures  is important to note that not all individuals may qualify for the highest tier of base pay adjustments and incentives.

• Gather, collect, and assess intelligence related to security threats; surveillance of designated groups. Monitor and identify inmates who are seen associating with gang members. Interview and verify photographs have been taken of all new arrivals. Complete paperwork/packets on inmates who are suspected to be involved in gang activity. Assist Contraband staff in searching cells of suspected gang members. Monitor inmate phone calls.
  
  Maintain accurate records of all confiscated items such as written material containing code and symbols. Complete all other tasks assigned by the Statewide STG Coordinator or STG Task Force Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• 18 years of age or older
• High school graduate or GED
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Tattoos:
  Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
• Must pass a medical assessment administered by SCDC.
• Must successfully complete the correctional officer basic certification course within (6) six months of placement into the position.
