Retail Security Supervisor

PAY:

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a
Retail Security Supervisor
to lead and support our on-site security team. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors while delivering excellent customer service and strong team leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads
• Manage performance, including coaching and corrective actions when needed
• Assist with hiring, training, and ongoing development of staff
• Ensure proper scheduling, coverage, and accurate timekeeping

Security Operations

• Oversee daily security operations and ensure compliance with post orders and company policies
• Conduct site patrols and inspections to maintain safety standards
• Ensure reports, logs, and documentation are completed accurately and on time
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms; coordinate with local authorities as needed

Safety & Systems Management

• Monitor and support the use of security systems (CCTV, alarms, fire panels, access control, elevators)
• Ensure all equipment and company vehicles are maintained and functioning properly
• Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and enforce safety protocols

Client & Communication

• Build strong relationships with mall management, tenants, and local police/fire departments
• Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding team and site performance
• Provide excellent customer service through professional interactions with all visitors

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Prior security experience with
  supervisory or leadership responsibilities
• Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
• Ability to obtain and maintain required
  security licenses/certifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively
• Comfortable using security systems and standard office equipment
• Reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse groups

This is a
hands-on leadership role
requiring time spent both supervising staff and actively participating in security operations, including patrols and incident response.

Minimum Qualifications

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/

Experience:

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent;
  Required

• Minimum 2 years prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems and access computer system, one year of which must be in the capacity of a supervisory position within the Security Industry.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
• State Guard License is required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification a plus.
