Here at The Grounds Guys, we’re seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician who can take ownership of service calls from start to finish. While we provide training and support, this role requires someone who already understands irrigation systems and can troubleshoot issues with confidence. Your Responsibilities as an Irrigation Technician

Front-Line Employee –

  • You are quite literally the boots on the ground. You’ll be a front-line employee who provides exceptional care of our customers’ irrigation systems and properties.
  • You will diagnose and repair irrigation systems, including heads, valves, pipe, wiring, controllers, sensors, and related components.
  • You will perform system inspections, seasonal startups, winterizations, and preventative maintenance.
  • You will confidently run service calls and represent the company professionally on-site.
  • When irrigation work is light, you’ll assist landscape and project crews to ensure steady productivity and team support.
  • You must be able to operate equipment safely and work outdoors in all weather conditions, performing physical work and lifting/carrying 35–80 pounds regularly.
  • You ensure each job site is clean, professional, and set up for success the next day.

Job Requirements for Irrigation Technician
  • 1–2 years of irrigation field experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in irrigation repair, landscaping, lawn service, or similar service industries.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability.
  • Willingness to complete required certifications and training if not already obtained.

In addition, there are a few minimum requirements necessary to be considered for this position:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
  • Experience driving a truck and trailer preferred
Benefits & Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.00 to $22.00 per hour
, dependent on your irrigation repair experience and ability to run service calls independently. Performance and training‑based raises are available as you grow with the company.
