Maintenance Technician

Monroe Group is looking for a maintenance technician to join our team.

Pay rate: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. $500 sign‑on bonus and $1,500 retention bonus available.

Under the supervision of the Community Manager, this position ensures the overall physical aspects of the community meet safety, appearance, and operational standards within budget. Responsibilities include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, exterior structure maintenance, property inspections, and vendor oversight.

• Perform general maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structure.
• Conduct property and unit inspections.
• Maintain property curb appeal and general cleanliness.
• Schedule and maintain the make‑ready board.
• Purchase materials and manage budget.
• Ensure maintenance teams deliver safe, decent, and sanitary housing.

• Previous experience in apartment/multi‑family maintenance.
• English language proficiency (read, speak, and write).
• Ability to pass a full background check.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.
• Technical training and license preferred.
