MAU is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our client in Walterboro, SC. As a Maintenance Technician, you will support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure equipment uptime, safety, and efficient plant operations. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Education and Experience
- Experience with chemical, plastics, or batch processing environments
- Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems
- Experience with packaging lines and form/fill/seal equipment
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical knowledge including motors, sensors, and wiring
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, or processing equipment
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and technical documents
- Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to work across multiple types of equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Perform routine maintenance on mixing and processing equipment, including ribbon blenders, kettles, grinders, and pellet mills
- Troubleshoot and repair material handling systems, including vacuum conveyance, screw conveyors, and powered conveyors
- Maintain and repair packaging equipment, including bottling lines, form/fill/seal machines, and ultrasonic sealers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement timely solutions
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and start-ups
- Support basic troubleshooting of PLCs and automated systems
- Maintain functionality of robotics and automated production equipment
- Partner with external vendors or internal teams to resolve advanced controls issues
- Maintain dust collection systems
- Support maintenance of pressure vessels
- Maintain plant utilities and support equipment
- Ensure proper operation of lifting equipment, including job cranes and vacuum lifters
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Identify and report potential safety hazards
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Recommend equipment upgrades or process improvements
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in industrial environments
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as needed
