Parks Maintenance Technician
We are excited to hire a full‑time, non‑exempt Parks Maintenance Technician to join our Parks and Recreation Department at Allison Creek Park. The role involves a mix of skilled trades: landscaping, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and other technical trades required for the repair and maintenance of multiple County‑owned Parks and Recreation facilities.
Projected Hiring Range / Pay Grade 109$18.69 – $22.42 per hour. Salary is determined based on qualifications.

- Perform general grounds maintenance work, including installation of landscape materials, mowing, bush hogging, planting, tree and shrub maintenance, and debris removal.
- Maintain park facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, carpentry work, painting, and preventive maintenance.
- Perform routine custodial work, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, removing trash, and stocking supplies.
- Prepare parks for community or special events, including set‑up, tear‑down, and support during events; may work after‑hours and weekends.
- Open and close park entrances as needed.
- Perform construction tasks such as carpentry, masonry, drywall, and painting.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- High school graduation or GED equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in a skilled or unskilled trade, construction, facility maintenance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Certification in aerial boom lift (man lift) preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
Applicants with equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
Physical Demands- Medium work: walking, standing, stooping, jumping, stretching, and lifting; regularly exerting 20–50 pounds of force; requires exceptional dexterity and precision.
- Exposure to bright/dim light, dusts, pollen, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, extreme noise, wildlife, vibration, fumes, odors, traffic, and moving machinery.
