Be a Leader on a Pipe fitting Team
We're looking for an experienced Pipe fitting Foreman to lead commercial and industrial piping projects from start to finish. If you're a hands‑on leader who takes pride in quality work, values safety, and knows how to keep projects on schedule, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll DoAs a Pipe fitting Foreman, you'll supervise field crews while actively working alongside your team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise pipe fitting crews on commercial construction projects.
- Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to maximize productivity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment needed for each phase of work.
- Install, assemble, and repair piping systems according to project specifications.
- Cut, thread, bend, fit, and secure pipe using hand and power tools.
- Install valves, fittings, supports, hangers, and related mechanical equipment.
- Perform pressure, hydrostatic, and system testing to verify quality and performance.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Identify and resolve installation issues while maintaining project schedules.
- Coordinate daily activities with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Ensure crews follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Train, mentor, and develop apprentice and journeyman pipe fitters.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, material usage, and production records.
- Monitor equipment and tool maintenance and ensure a clean, organized jobsite.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter Foreman or Lead Pipefitter on commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage field crews.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial piping systems, installation methods, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of piping systems.
- Knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and coordination with other trades.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capable of performing physically demanding work while leading field operations.
- Must have valid SCDL.
