Location: Columbia

This position is responsible for the custom designing, forming, cutting, sharpening, piercing, welding and/or the

painting of fabricated materials for the use in a final product and training/cross-training associates in the

Fabrication Area.
  • Forms, cuts, and pierces metal to form fabricated assembly housing units.
  • Performs a variety of operations including Cutting, Piercing, Forming, etc.
  • Utilizes a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Operates moderately complex to very complex fabrication machinery, using digital/electronic controls.
  • Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with OSHA
  • requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements (including licenses and certifications):
  • Read and understand moderately complex assembly drawings, schematics, bill of materials.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • May be required to have welding certification.
  • May be required to move material within the group.
  • Daily 5S is a requirement.
  • Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with OSHA
  • requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required and often in other groups. May be required to work OT.
  • Good understanding of basic shop math and measuring techniques.
  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials, depending on location. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
