Responsibilities

  • Support daily facility operations in a customer‑centric, safe, and efficient manner, ensuring a reliable environment that supports business and production continuity.
  • Perform general facility maintenance including furniture moves, light construction, painting, cleaning, and exterior upkeep using hand and power tools.
  • Maintain and operate building utilities while ensuring systems align with OSHA, local regulations, and industry standards, demonstrating accountability and safety ownership.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to support operational reliability and uptime.
  • Coordinate with approved vendors and contractors to support repairs, preventive maintenance, and compliance documentation.
  • Install, modify, and maintain building infrastructure, including electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, drywall, roofing, and structural components.
  • Perform routine and specialized inspections of facilities, equipment, and grounds to proactively identify and resolve issues, promoting an agile and preventative maintenance approach.
  • Partner with manufacturing or engineering teams to support facility‑related production needs such as wiring, plumbing, and equipment installation.
  • Establish, maintain, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain facility documentation such as power diagrams, network diagrams, and space utilization plans; may leverage CAD tools for layout and optimization.
  • Provide operational support services including AV setup for meetings, inter‑office deliveries, recycling efforts, and breakroom stocking.
  • Assist with vendor support services (e.g., security, cafeteria operations) and help host visitors, demonstrating professionalism and an authentic, service‑oriented mindset.
  • Identify and escalade needs for major facility repairs or upgrades, contributing innovative ideas to improve efficiency and infrastructure performance.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Associate’s degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5‑7+ years of related facilities, maintenance, or skilled trades experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems using sound analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting while following established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and Arc Flash safety protocols.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial or utilities/energy environments.
  • Ability to break down complex issues, take ownership of solutions, and follow through to completion with a high level of accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and adhering to all safety programs and procedures.
  • Strong time‑management skills, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Basic proficiency with facility documentation tools; experience with CAD or similar systems is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Familiarity with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) software for facility layout and optimization.
  • Skilled trades experience in carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, or plumbing.
  • Exposure to vendor management, contract coordination, and service‑level accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute innovative process improvements and enhance operational efficiencies.
