Utility Loader Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Utility Loader Operator  to support our sewer and water crews. This role is responsible for operating heavy equipment to safely load, move, and place pipe and materials on active construction sites.

• Operate loaders, excavators, or skid steers to move and place pipe and materials
• Load and unload sewer and water pipe from delivery trucks
• Stage materials efficiently to support pipe installation crews
• Assist with setting pipe in trenches under direction of foreman or pipe layer
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow signals, and job site plans
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Support crew with general labor tasks as needed

• Experience operating heavy equipment in utility or civil construction
• Knowledge of sewer and water pipe installation processes preferred
• Ability to read grade stakes and follow directions
• Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
• Reliable, team-oriented, and hardworking

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks when needed
• Sit and operate equipment for extended periods
