Asan Equipment Operatoryourprimaryresponsibilityistocompletetaskssafelyandaccuratelyassignedbythe Superintendent /Foremanusingconstructionequipment.
Key responsibilities- Maintainasafeworkplaceandensurethatsafetyisalwaysthehighestpriority.
- Participateinallrequiredsafetytraining.
- Performdailyequipmentcheckstoensureallequipmentisproperlymaintainedandisinsafeoperatingcondition.
- Followinstructionsandcompleteassignedtasksefficientlyandeffectively.
- Takeactionstoavoidpotentialhazardsorobstructions,suchasutilitylines,other equipment,otherworkersorfallingobjects.
- Haveappropriateclothing,workbootsandPPEwhileonthejobsite.
- Beawareofundergroundservices,suchaspipesorwirepriortobeginningworkandbecautiousoftheirlocationsthroughouttheworkday.
- Readjobplanstoensureathoroughknowledgeofthejobathand.
- Checkallequipmentfluidspriortostartingtheworkday.
- Checkfuelsuppliesofallequipmentatthejobsiteonadailybasis–priortobeginningwork,andbeforecompletingwork,toensurethatequipmentisreadytooperateatanytime.
- Understand safety,wearparts,anddaily/weekly maintenance.
- Understandalloperationsofthe Chipper.
- Abletochipatproductionrategivenperacre.
- Understandchangingofknivesdailyifneeded.
- GrubwithKGBladeatarateof4-5acresperday.
