Requirements:
All applicants must be:

• 18 years of age
• Able to pass a drug test
• Legally eligible to work in the US
• Additional requirements for craft workers:
• Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required)
• Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
• May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities)

Primary function of a Structural Leadman:
Supervise the raising, placing, and uniting of structural members to form complete structures or structure frameworks. Lead employees by example.

Typical duties include and are not limited to:

• Lead and supervise workers engaged in the construction of buildings and other structural works.
• Assists foreman in the coordination and performance of related activities including layout and fabrication.
• Ensure work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment, and materials.
• Familiar with all company QA/QC and safety procedures/regulations and strictly enforce them with entire workforce.
• Read, interpret, and follow method statements and procedures.
• Competently read and understand blueprints, specifications, drawings, and other discipline-related project and engineering documentation.
• Maintain records of all work completed.
• Set up hoisting equipment and rigging for raising structural members.
• Proficient with all hand signals and have leadership knowledge of crane functions.
• Align bolt holes in member using corresponding holes in previous placed member with iron working hand tools.
• Perform or supervise the cutting and welding of members to make alterations in structural members.

Skills, knowledge, qualifications & experience:

• Must have a minimum of 4 years verifiable experience as a structural leadman in industrial construction.
• Must be able to read and follow structural steel erection and fabrication drawings.
• Must strive continuously to build knowledge and skill level by listening and getting clarification from managers and clients.
• Must follow policies and procedures and support Crowder Construction Company's goals and value system by consistently being on time and following instructions and responding to management's directions.
• Must be committed to long hours when necessary to reach goals and increase productivity for the client and still observe safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Worker will use shop math to solve problems when necessary and able to supervise journeyman and helpers.
