• 1. Operate line trimmers, mowers, blowers, chainsaws, chippers, and other assigned equipment to maintain road shoulders, rights-of-way, and common areas.
• 2. Remove debris from roads, ditches, culverts, andcommon areas using appropriate equipment and hand tools.
• 3. Inspect equipment before and after use,maintain proper fuel and fluid levels or gas mixtures as required, and promptly report equipment problems or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• 4. Clean and maintain ditches, culverts, and drainage areas to ensure proper water flow and reduce roadway hazards.
• 5. Clear brush, small trees, and undergrowth from lots and rights-of-way using chippers, saws, and other assigned equipment.
• 6. Assist with road, shoulder, and ditch maintenance work as assigned, including identifying and reporting damage, erosion, washouts, or other unsafe conditions.
• 7. Assist in maintaining guardrails, fencing, and related roadside structures, including basic repair and painting as needed.
• 8. Install,maintain, and report issues with traffic signs, markers, and other roadway safety devices.
• 9. Wear required personal protective equipment and operate all tools and equipment in accordance with safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• 10. Perform other related duties and equipment operation tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• 11. Perform all assigned set-up, work area maintenance, clean up and closedown procedures and duties.
• 12. Exhibit courteous, pleasant conduct with all people always.
