Location: Columbia

  • Install, troubleshoot and startup commercial HVAC including:
    Commercial DX equipment up to approximately 25 tons, intake/exhaust fans, split systems, heat pumps, water source heat pumps, mini-splits, electric motor controls, light commercial furnaces, unit heaters, economizers, humidifiers, air compressors.
  • Log HVAC equipment such as refrigerant circuit, electrical circuit, condition of equipment, etc
  • Drive to and from customer sites as needed
  • Communicate with Team Lead, Coordination Staff, Sales Staff and Customers
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal call-backs
  • Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Observe, report and correct unsafe work environments
  • Will be included in on call rotation as needed according to business volume and requirements
  • Take care of and maintain company tools and company vehicle
  • Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time
Requirements
  • Proficient with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, various heating components and air distribution systems.
  • Proficient with brazing, leak checking and the evacuation process
  • Understands mechanical drawings and equipment specifications
  • Ability to abide by basic safe work practices
  • 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Universal EPA Certification
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions.
  • Ability to write reports.
  • Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform
  • Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers
  • Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
