Field Technician, C

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test communications and network systems at FAA sites throughout the ZJX airspace region
• Provide hands-on technical support for FTI, ADS-B, DCNS, and other Field Services Group programs
• Travel to local FAA facilities and diagnose equipment or network issues
• Replace or repair components and perform testing to restore systems to full operational status
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair voice, data, network, fiber, and power-related equipment
• Perform onsite testing and diagnostics of circuits, network connections, and communications equipment using standard test equipment and Bell Core testing standards
• Work with copper and fiber cabling, including termination, connector replacement, and cable troubleshooting
• Configure and support IP-based equipment, including routers and switches
• Install equipment racks and associated hardware in wall-mounted, raised-floor, and concrete-based environments
• Conduct AC/DC power testing, including 3-phase AC, and work with 24
  
  VDC and 48
  
  VDC power supplies
• Travel to FAA site locations within approximately a 3-hour drive of Hilliard, FL
• Lift items up to 32 pounds and use ladders or step stools to access equipment up to approximately 10 feet high
• Coordinate with the Area Service Lead and follow company, contract-specific, program, and safety procedures
• Respond to after-hours emergency service calls when required

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a FAA Public Trust clearance
• Experience with voice, data, network, fiber, and power-related equipment
• Experience with copper and fiber cabling, including termination, connector replacement, and cable troubleshooting
• Ability to configure and support IP-based equipment, including routers and switches
• Ability to perform AC/DC power testing, including 3‑phase AC, 24
  
  VDC, and 48
  
  VDC power supplies
• Ability to install equipment racks and associated hardware
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage service calls with minimal supervision
• Willingness and ability to work outside normal business hours and respond to after‑hours emergency service calls
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure, high‑visibility environments
• Ability to lift items up to 32 pounds and use ladders or step stools to access equipment up to approximately 10 feet high
• Preferred industry certifications:
  Network+, A+, CCNA, CCNP, or CCNA Wireless

Demonstrates expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting communications and network systems, with a strong focus on IP‑based equipment, power testing, and cabling. Proven ability to work independently in high‑pressure environments while providing exceptional customer service.
