This is a hands‑on, field‑focused role — not a desk job. You will spend most of your time on‑site, learning the full project lifecycle while actively supporting crews and contributing to successful project delivery.

  • Work directly with landscaping crews performing tasks such as planting, mulching, pruning, turf care, irrigation troubleshooting, hardscape assistance, and site clean‑up to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Supports Crew Leaders and Project Managers by reinforcing instructions, helping train new team members, promoting safe work habits, and modeling teamwork and professionalism.
  • Assists with scheduling, material tracking, and daily progress documentation while keeping office time minimal to remain present in the field.
  • Participates in routine inspections to identify deficiencies, verify quality, ensure contract compliance, and communicate findings to the Project Manager for corrective action.
  • Help operate, maintain, and troubleshoot landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, skid steers, and irrigation tools, ensuring safe and proper use.
  • Helps enforce OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, equipment safety protocols, and environmental standards to maintain a safe job site.
  • Supports the Project Manager in responding to urgent site needs such as storm damage, irrigation issues, or safety hazards to protect client property and maintain service continuity.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • High school diploma or technical certificate
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in commercial landscaping, grounds management, or landscape construction.
  • 1+ years of landscaping crew lead experience.
  • Basic understanding of horticulture, turf care, irrigation systems, and landscape construction techniques.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and landscape‑specific safety practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to restricted or government properties.
