The (USA) Master Plumber, Facility Services, is responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems to ensure facility safety, functionality, and compliance with all applicable codes. This role involves diagnosing complex plumbing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and leading repairs while providing technical guidance to maintenance teams. The position requires managing work orders, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

The Master Plumber supports continuous improvement efforts and responds promptly to emergency situations, contributing to the overall operational excellence of Walmart’s facilities.

The team strategically deploys licensed plumbing professionals to minimize external service needs across multiple locations. Members perform preventive maintenance and repairs using expertise in plumbing, carpentry, and equipment handling. They manage schedules, coordinate resources, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Working collaboratively, the team promptly addresses facility requirements, supports ongoing improvements, and upholds company values through integrity and accountability.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
• Diagnose complex plumbing issues using blueprints, manuals, and specialized tools, providing expert solutions and design plans.
• Lead and mentor Journeyman and Apprentice Plumbers, delivering training on techniques, codes, and safety protocols.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts procurement, and contractor coordination while ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on‑call rotations to support critical facility needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and expenses.

• Proven expertise in plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of water supply, waste disposal, and gas lines.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve complex plumbing issues.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and national plumbing codes and compliance requirements.
• Experience leading and mentoring plumbing and maintenance teams, providing technical guidance and training.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, pressure testing, and performing preventive maintenance.
• Skilled in managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and coordinating with contractors and inspectors.
• Commitment to maintaining safety standards and adhering to OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Effective communication skills for documentation, reporting, and collaboration with stakeholders.
