Mechanical Quality Assurance & Control Inspector

We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical & Plumbing Quality Assurance & Control professional to join our team in the Southeast Georgia region.

In this role, you’ll support quality assurance and quality control efforts across Sack’s mechanical and plumbing projects. You’ll work directly with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure installations, materials, equipment, and procedures meet project specifications, applicable codes, and Sack’s quality standards.

This is a hands-on, field-focused position for someone who understands mechanical and plumbing construction and knows what quality work should look like.

• Perform mechanical and plumbing QA/QC inspections across active projects.
• Verify work meets drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and project requirements.
• Inspect mechanical, HVAC, piping, and plumbing installations throughout construction.
• Assist with project-specific QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, checklists, and testing requirements.
• Work with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field teams to identify and correct quality issues.
• Document inspections, deficiencies, NCRs, punch-list items, and corrective actions.
• Verify materials and equipment meet approved submittals and project specifications.
• Support pressure testing, system start-up, final inspections, commissioning, and project turnover.
• Help identify recurring quality issues and opportunities to improve field installation practices.
• Promote consistent workmanship and quality standards across Sack projects.

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical and/or plumbing construction.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical, HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  .
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical and plumbing codes and industry standards.
• Previous QA/QC, inspection, superintendent, foreman, or field leadership experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify installation and workmanship issues.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working directly with field personnel and project leadership.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on teamwork, accountability, and quality.
