Pest Control Technician

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Modern Exterminating Company is a locally owned, family-operated business that has proudly served South Carolina since 1955. For more than 70 years, we have built our reputation by treating our customers and employees with professionalism, honesty, and dependability.

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Pest Control Technician to join our growing team. Previous pest control experience is welcome, but it is not required—we will provide the training you need to succeed.

• Inspect residential and commercial properties for pest activity
• Identify pest problems and recommend appropriate treatment solutions
• Perform general pest control services safely and effectively
• Communicate clearly with customers about services performed and preventive recommendations
• Maintain accurate service records using company-provided technology
• Properly maintain company equipment and assigned service vehicle
• Follow all company policies and state and federal safety regulations
• Build positive, long-term relationships with customers
• Represent Modern Exterminating in a professional and courteous manner

• Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing a daily service route
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to enter crawlspaces, climb ladders, and lift the equipment required for the position
• Willing to learn pest identification, treatment methods, and industry regulations
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to meet applicable licensing and employment requirements
