Job Duties:
- Under the direction of the FFPSA Program Manager, the Prevention Service Coordinator will identify services to meet the needs of children and families based on specific criteria. Prevention Service Coordinator will assist the Child Welfare Staff in identifying services to meet the needs of children and families based on specific criteria. The Prevention Services Coordinator will be an expert on the Department's service array and assist the FFPSA Program Manager with prevention service contracts as assigned.
Responsible for providing oversight of EBPs and service array for the Pee Dee and Low country regions of the state.
- Provides oversight and technical assistance to providers and internal DSS staff to support the effective implementation for FFPSA and other child welfare related services.
- Manages Prevention Service contracts throughout the state of South Carolina for Child Welfare Services ensuring compliance with requirements set forth in the contractual agreements.
- Provides authorization and support for FFPSA related services to support adherence with Title IV-E Prevention Requirements.
- Monitors and tracks utilization, eligibility, and outcomes for services in the assigned region and presents findings to regional leaders, providers, and other DSS leadership on a periodic basis.
- Facilitates implementation meetings, calls, and engagement sessions to increase service awareness, utilization, and uptake of prevention practices.
- Consults with county and regional staff on regional service array. Works closely with Operations, Wellbeing, Permanency, and Safety. Work with community providers and other agencies to identify services and service gaps.
- Provides coverage for other regions in the absence of the assigned PRSC.
- Ensures that Personal Identifying Information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Counseling, Behavioral Science, or Human Services and (3) years of professional experience or public administration.
A Master's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Counseling, Behavioral Science, or Human Services; or a Master's Degree in any other field and one (1) year of professional experience in human services or social service programs.
