Job Duties- The Mobile SNAP E&T Coordinator working primarily from a mobile or remote environment operates and transports the SNAP E&T specialty vehicle to events statewide. Supports individuals with job search, job placement, and training assistance, and enhances their access to workforce and community resources. The role contributes to increasing the number of SNAP recipients who achieve employment and long-term self-sufficiency.
- Assists customers of the E&T vehicle with obtaining employment or training access through assessment, employability plan development and component placement activities. Ensures maximum efficiency of the vehicle by its operation according to schedule and policies.
- Serves as a well-informed resource for all customers of the SNAP E&T vehicle by staying knowledgeable about local resources, services, labor market information, training opportunities, and job fairs or hiring events. Facilitates job fairs and hiring events and participates in similar events when requested internally or by partner agencies. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders for efficient and effective use of the vehicle at such events.
- Monitors the E&T Database to ensure timely and accurate data entry of client participation hours and placements; reports findings to management. Provides technical assistance to county staff, providers, and coworkers on E&T-related policies and procedures; develops E&T opportunities for SNAP recipients including Work Experience placements. Analyzes local labor market data and employment trends, assists in the development of strategies designed to increase the number of SNAP recipients who are successful in obtaining unsubsidized employment.
- Performs other related duties as required.
High School Diploma and relevant program experience. Valid commercial driver’s license is required. Bachelor’s Degree and relevant program experience is preferred.
