Location: Columbia
Part-time Temporary position; up to 29 hours per week.
Under the general supervision of the Workforce Development Manager, the peer support specialist serves as peer support for offenders. Assists offenders with the treatment and services enrollment process; serves as a liaison for community–based services.
A high school diploma or equivalent of relevant Human Services or social services experience. A minimum of three years since any criminal involvement (e.g., arrest, incarceration, or supervision). Able to be credentialed as Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) within 180 days of hire.
Experience working with a forensic population is preferred.
Please note: This is an entirely on‑site, in‑office position.
