The SAAS Web Developer plays a vital role in supporting Student Affairs and Academic Services (SAAS) by ensuring systems operate seamlessly and efficiently. This position offers hands‑on experience in coding, troubleshooting, and server management while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to making an immediate and meaningful impact.
Primary Duties- Developing and maintaining code on web servers and application servers that service Student Affairs and Academic Services (SAAS).
- Support the deployment process of completed projects, ensuring smooth transition from development to production.
- Use JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other front‑end technologies to develop and enhance applications within the Student Affairs domain.
- Full‑time pay with a 37.5‑hour work week.

Education and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job-related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
- Networking knowledge, comfort with command line interfaces, Office 365 application experience, a curiosity for finding unique solutions.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively with information architects, back‑end developers, and broad cross‑functional teams.
- Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design, a clean design aesthetic, and a passion for creating great user experiences.
- Working knowledge of web technologies, languages, and best practices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and independent self‑direction coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to work as a team player, demonstrate personal initiative and assist colleagues.
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
- Write, test, and revise code for projects within SAAS; help design and implement code from inception to production. Working with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and a small handful of other front‑end technologies across the Student Affairs domain. Involved in conceiving, planning, developing, measuring, and enhancing websites.
- Assist the senior engineer with complex projects—work closely with senior engineers on larger scoped projects with increasing complexity that require more resources.
- Assist other developers and the IT team in troubleshooting, bug fixing. Communicate with the team leads to ensure your code meets their expectations.
- Provide input on the direction of each project—work with Senior developers and team members to discuss and outline the requirements and limits of new and current projects. This role should communicate clearly and confidently with the team and clients to determine needs, present ideas, and accomplish a project from start to finish.
- Assist with the deployment of completed projects—under supervision and training, the role will aid live deployment and will participate in discussion of future deployment strategies.
