FRC Instructor

Location: Salem

Conduct group exercise classes for members as scheduled.

* Conducts group exercise classes for members at various times during the week in the Fitness Center. Follows national fitness guidelines for their specific class; and demonstrates modification and safety techniques.

* Select music appropriate to age level and abilities of class members.

* Maintains proficiency through attending workshops and reading literature on the subject of aerobic activity.

* Ensures that class participants wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

* Starts and ends class on time and teaches the class that is listed at that time slot.

* Water aerobics instructors - arrive 20 minutes prior to class to put equipment out to allow for it to warm up. (Paid for 1 hour and 30 minutes)

1. Must be knowledgeable about fitness guidelines pertaining to the class they teach. Must feel comfortable teaching classes of 3 to 20 or more people.

2. Current certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED.

3. National certification or working towards obtaining the certification (receipt of certification sign-up or payment) in group exercise or personal training.
