Moorhead is a land clearing and site preparation contractor specializing in large scale projects including solar farms, commercial developments and right-of-way clearing. Our team is dedicated to safety, quality and efficiency, and we are seeking skilled drivers to join our growing company.
Position SummaryWe are seeking reliable Class A CDL drivers to safely and efficiently transport materials and debris to and from jobsites. This position may also require them moving of heavy equipment from time to time. This role is essential to supporting our operations by ensuring timely deliveries and proper handling of loads. The ideal candidate has proven driving experience, a strong safety record and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CDL Class A trucks to haul equipment, materials and debris
- Be familiar with and have the ability to operate an walking floor trailer to transport and dump mulch
- Load and unload equipment such as excavators, skid steers and other heavy machinery
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance (fluid checks, tires, lights, brakes)
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate with project management, superintendents and crew to coordinate deliveries
- Adhere to all company safety policies, DOT regulations and environmental standards
- Assist with site-related tasks when not driving
- Valid CDL Class A driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Prior experience hauling mulch and utilizing a walking floor trailer (required)
Prior experience transporting heavy equipment (preferred) - Knowledge of DOT rules and safe hauling practices
- Ability to properly secure loads with chains, binders, straps and tarps
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to travel to jobsites (per diem provided where applicable)
- Ability to sit and drive for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for loading/unloading or maintenance needs
- Comfortable working outdoors in rugged environments
