Job Overview2nd Shift Part Time Forklift Operator II responsible for completing material movement throughout the facility and grounds by moving, loading, and unloading assets using a wide variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Duties & Responsibilities- Pull specific vending and cold drink equipment to fulfill sales request needs
- Secure and protect all outbound loads, apply protective wrapping as needed, and attach proper documentation (STO)
- Load and unload trailers to support delivery activities following CCCI SOPs; update SAP and CONA via handhelds for accountability of inbound and outbound loads
- Perform safety and housekeeping activities, including pre‑ and post‑trip checks and maintaining a neat, clutter‑free work area
- Assist with staging equipment, other movements, junking equipment, and yard maintenance
- Maneuver a switcher to move 53’ and pup trailers to the dock as needed
- Basic safety principles, including proper lifting and PPE use
- Advanced forklift skills (single‑wide) and ability to operate in a small area
- Basic pallet‑jack skills
- Rudimentary mechanical skills and simple tool usage
- Ability to operate multiple pieces of simple machinery
- Read and follow written SOPs or instructions
- Complete forms to document activities and results
- Follow verbal instructions and perform intermediate math
- Understand productivity drivers
- Assess order building, loading workflow, and choose optimum pick/load path
- Simultaneously manage multiple processes to support overall system efficiency
- Consistently count received items and compare to manifest with high accuracy
- Consistently load trucks following documentation with high accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- Work in extreme temperatures, noisy conditions, slippery walking surfaces, and broken glass
- Occasionally lift over 25 lbs.; rarely up to or over 50 lbs.
- Sit for long periods
- Frequently get on and off a forklift
- Open and close truck dock doors
- Forklift and pallet jack certification
- Switcher operation certification
- Class A CDL when required
- Previous experience in a logistics environment
- Understanding of truck and trailer loading strategies and weight distribution principles
