Truck Loader - Maintenance

Load chemicals into or from tank trailer, rail cars or various containers.

• May operate track mobile to spot rail cars or assist truck drivers to spot tractor trailers for loading / filling containers.
• Verifies tank cars, rail cars, tanker trucks numbers with loading instructions to ensure accurate placement of cars and trucks.
• Connects ground cables to eliminate static electricity.
• Inspects tanks, cars and trucks for leaks or damage.
• Completes all placard requirements as per D.O.T. sealing of values as required.
• Sample as required and delivery to lab.
• Completes paperwork required by plant policies and procedures as well as Department of Transportation and OSHA Regulations.

Strength rating - heavy. Must be physically able to work around various chemicals. Must be able to wear respiratory protective equipment when required. Requires standing on feet most of the work day, climbing ladders, bending, squatting and stooping.

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Ability to work in inclimate weather condtions.

Abilty to lift up to 50 lbs. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
