This is not another standard no-touch dry van position. LEM Trucking is hiring a Class A CDL Driver in Columbia for a specialized regional fleet transporting golf cars to dealerships, golf courses, and customer locations throughout the Southeast. Drivers receive paid training on the equipment used for this account and earn between $1,750 and $2,200 per week.

A $6,000 sign-on bonus is also available for qualifying experienced drivers.

Drivers are trained to operate several trailer configurations, including open-top golf car trailers, enclosed Kentucky-style trailers, and 53-foot dry vans equipped with electric decking systems and belly boxes.

This is a hands-on driving position. The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for loading and unloading golf cars during deliveries. Paid equipment training is provided so drivers can learn the proper procedures before handling the freight independently.

Backhaul freight into Columbia helps maintain consistent utilization and reduce unnecessary empty miles.

Most trips begin on Saturday and continue through Wednesday or Thursday morning. Drivers then receive a regular 34-hour reset before beginning the next work cycle. Freight demand can occasionally shift reset days, but the operation is structured around weekly home time.

Drivers average approximately 2,200 to 2,400 miles each week. Optional Canada runs may also be available for qualified drivers interested in additional mileage.

Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL and have at least 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience. Candidates must meet applicable DOT, company safety, background, and drug screening requirements.
