Location: Columbia
About the Position The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service and accuracy. This role performs essential tasks such as material handling, order fulfillment, and inventory control in a high-volume environment. Warehouse Associates are expected to follow established procedures, uphold safety and quality standards, and actively contribute to a clean and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities Accurately pick, pack, and ship materials in alignment with customer expectations and order requirements.
Load and unload truck orders while following safety protocols and material handling best practices.
Store materials properly within designated warehouse racking and storage locations.
Complete routine and accurate cycle count to support inventory integrity.
Receive, inspect, and put away incoming materials promptly and accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse and yard environment.
Operate forklifts and related warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Provide support to other co-op locations by driving and assisting when required
Qualifications
Forklift and warehouse experience preferred
Prior forklift certification a strong plus Valid drivers' license required for business travel between locations
Experience loading flatbed trailers preferred
Basic computer skills to include Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to communicate with all levels of employees within and outside the organization
Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, sit, bend, pull, twist, push, and pull for sustained periods of time
Able to operate a computer and other office machinery using finger dexterity for typing and writing
Must be able to communicate, converse with, and exchange information by means of the spoken word
Able to perform physical effort to lift or move materials up to 50 pounds
Visual acuity to view a computer screen
Must be able to work in outdoor areas, subject to the elements
