Warehouse Coordinator – OperationsLocated in Lexington, SC, this role supports inbound, outbound, and general warehouse operations to ensure timely delivery and scheduling of freight and proper distribution of warehouse items. The position requires data entry, preparation and distribution of reports, and record maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process routine forms, reports, and documents for inbound and outbound operations, including discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, and shipping labels.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs, responding to inquiries and requests by researching information.
- Collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support tracking warehouse performance, including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, and associate over‑time.
- Support outbound functions by checking returns and credit slips, assembling returned orders for re‑picking, investigating picking errors, and identifying missing products.
- Interact with warehouse personnel to solve selecting and shipping issues and complete outbound paperwork and reports, including documents for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, and trucks received at night.
- Update the master storage report as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Internal:
Collaborate with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels within the company. - External:
Work with carriers and vendors.
The work will be performed in normal warehouse environments, including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as
-5°F, with some occasional desk work in an office setting.
- At least one year of production and/or warehouse experience, preferably in a food environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities for limited‑scope problems.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to support others in the department and division.
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
- One year of clerical warehouse administrative work experience.
- Computer, data‑entry, and word‑processing skills.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities for the specified duration:
- Stand and walk continuously.
- Drive vehicle – not applicable.
- Sit frequently.
- Lift 1‑10 lbs frequently (sedentary). 11‑20 lbs frequently (light). 21‑50 lbs frequently (medium). 51‑100 lbs occasionally (heavy).
- Push/Pull, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, grasp objects, manipulate objects, manual dexterity – all frequently or continuously as indicated.
The expected base rate for this role is between $15.47/hour and $25.77/hour, depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, geographic location, and applicable laws. The role also receives overtime compensation. Benefits may include health, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, emergency medical response, and other standard benefits.
