About The Opportunity
Direct and supervise shipping/receiving personnel to ensure timely shipments are made and product is accurately received while maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees, including auditing, addressing unsafe behaviors and conditions, timely reporting safety incidents, enforcing safety-related policies and procedures, and conducting any needed training.
- Help coordinate outbound shipments.
- Ensure deliveries are scheduled and completed based on available and anticipated inventory and order promise dates.
- Address and communicate quality issues to internal team and external customers.
- Ensure raw materials are received and accurately placed into inventory.
- Ensure warehouse and materials are well‑organized.
- Confer with plant personnel and other departments to review activities and operating reports to determine changes in schedules.
- Maintain a high degree of plant‑floor visibility throughout the shift.
- Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct annual performance reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Desired:
Associate's Degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- 2 years of formal leadership experience.
- 2 years in a plastics or fabrication environment.
- Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
- Ability to handle the stress of working with others.
- Ability to be available outside of normal work hours.
- Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others.
- Ability to lead by example.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles.
- Ability to use and influence organizational policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing practices.
- Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.
- Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site.
