Location: Liberty
Position Summary
The Receiving / Delivery Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, unloading, documenting, and storing incoming raw materials and supplies. This position ensures that deliveries are accurately verified against purchase orders and packing lists, inventory records are updated in a timely manner, and any shipment discrepancies, damages, returns, or rejected materials are promptly communicated and resolved. The Receiving / Delivery Associate also drives the company truck between Liberty manufacturing facility and warehouse in Piedmont for daily deliveries, following all safety procedures and traffic laws.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Receive incoming deliveries and sign for shipments in accordance with established procedures.
- Unload deliveries from trucks and inspect materials for damage, shortages, or other discrepancies.
- Compare purchase orders, packing lists, and delivered materials to verify accuracy and ensure shipments meet order requirements.
- Process returns for incorrect shipments, damaged goods, or rejected materials.
- Organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Update the inventory system to reflect received materials accurately and promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, deliveries, receiving documentation, and related transaction details.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory adjustments to support inventory accuracy.
- Assist with filling pick lists and material requests as needed.
- Support physical inventory activities and related warehouse audits.
- Drive the company truck between Liberty manufacturing facility and warehouse in Piedmont for daily deliveries, following all safety procedures and traffic laws.
- Maintain adequate fuel levels in the truck to support daily delivery operations.
- Check racks in Liberty to identify materials that need to be refilled.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
- Deliver materials to Liberty departments as requested.
- Assist with pulling tickets when materials are ordered.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift experience.
- Basic math skills required.
- Experience using email and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, preferred.
- Ability to perform full-body movement, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
