Cath Lab Rad Tech 🚫 Submission Hard Stops Can submit to only 1 WVU position at a time Must verify candidate is not already submitted in Pulse No local travelers (must live more than 50 miles from facility) No travelers past 1 year total within WVU system (any facility combined) After 1 year, must be gone 2 full years before returning Former WVU employees must be separated for 2 years before agency submission No license hits accepted Unit Details 2 Cath Lab suites Average 5–10 cases per day On-call 24/7 cardiology coverage Leadership:
Director, Coordinator, Charge Nurse EMR/Equipment:
Siemens system Required Certifications BLS ARRT (AART listed) Experience Required Minimum 1 year Cath Lab or Rad Tech experience First-time travelers accepted with strong experience Must know sterile technique and scrubbing procedures Common Procedures Diagnostic Left & Right Heart Caths PCI IABP Temporary Pacemaker Call Requirements Mandatory call 1 week of call per 4-week schedule (Mon 7 AM – following Mon 7 AM) Weekend call:
Friday after hours to Monday 7 AM (if not on Mon–Mon call week) 30-minute response time Holiday call rotation required Schedule 5 days per week Start/stop times vary based on case volume Surgical scrubs provided No floating required Orientation General hospital orientation Department computer training Up to 36 hours (1 week) unit orientation
