The Procurement Specialist, Senior performs advanced-level procurement and contracting work to support the Bureau for Public Health. This position is responsible for creating, issuing, and renewing procurement documents in the wvOASIS system, tracking contract expirations, and collaborating with office staff and vendors. The role includes serving as a lead worker, providing training to new purchasers, and reviewing procurement documents for accuracy and compliance.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in purchasing of commodities or services in a centralized purchasing function
- Experience in broad range of purchasing for private industry or governmental unit
- Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures
- Proficiency with procurement systems such as wvOASIS
