• Active RN license (willing to wait for license if needed)
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience (pediatric RN, pediatric med‑surg)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and reading cardiac strips (Phillips monitors)
• Ability to titrate drips (fluids and medication drip management)
• Willingness to float to Nursery/NICU as needed for unit coverage
• Ability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays
• Must have a driver’s license with an address outside 50 miles from the facility
• Compliance with unit‑specific orientation and dress code (navy scrubs)

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care to pediatric medical/surgical patients in an 8‑bed unit
• Manage nurse‑to‑patient ratios of 1:4 (may vary based on patient acuity)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac strips using Phillips monitors; elevate changes per protocol
• Titrate fluids and medication drips as required, demonstrating safe medication administration and drip titration skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including advanced practice providers and ED physicians, to ensure comprehensive pediatric care
• Float to Nursery/NICU as needed for unit coverage; support cross‑coverage and patient transfers
• Participate in self‑scheduling and demonstrate flexibility to meet unit staffing needs
• Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC electronic health record (EPIC charting experience preferred)
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards for pediatric and perioperative care
