Registered Nurse IR - South Charleston, WV

A registered nurse with Interventional Radiology expertise is needed for a contract role in South Charleston, WV, supporting adult and geriatric patients in a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital. This opportunity offers a 4x10-hour day shift schedule, providing hands-on experience with advanced vascular and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including Angiograms, Fistulograms, Permacath placement, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, Mitra Clip, Mechanical Thrombectomy, and Embolization.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios to ensure individualized care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage complex diagnoses such as CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, aneurysm, and stroke.
• Participate in on-call rotations every 5th weekend and discuss coverage details with the manager.
• Adhere to strict infection control measures, mandatory flu vaccination during season (October 1 - March 31), and hospital policies.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active RN license with minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to pass thorough credential verification including prior manager references and clean licensure.
• Willingness to orient in both classroom and clinical settings.
• Eligible candidates may submit with pending WV RDCS - Adult license but must have active license prior to start.
• First-time travelers with IR experience welcome.

Additional Details:

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
• Orientation occurs biweekly on Thursdays.
