DCC Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Title

Ability to maintain high confidentiality, must be able to lift 40lbs (files and storage), moderate kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting. Repetitious use of computer, ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work cooperatively with all departments. Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Infinium/AS 400 (trainable), and Red River A/R. Must have fundamental knowledge of math skills and strong organizational skills.

Participates in formulating management financial policy from Controller. Summarizes credit card charges and reconciles gas statements. Team member will share accounting duties with other co-workers to ensure that all accounting functions are managed prompt and exact. Reports any irregularities of exceptions to the Controller. Manage and reconciles local charge account spreadsheets and keep records of charge accounts. Monitors compliance of Departmental policies and procedures.

Ensure audit compliance with internal/external auditors. Understand the departmental account codes and how they are used. Input accounts payable invoices, process and prepares them for payment. Help independent auditor with year-end activities, such as preparing summary schedules, pulling invoices. Assist with Drop & Count as needed. Will aid the Controller with managing the accounts payable and making sure payments are made and allowing the company to take advantage of any time constraints.
