Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for assigning inmate number
- Interviews inmate and enters identifying data into the DOTS Portal system, pre-screens commitment papers and provides info to BOSC on possible same day releases and imminent releases
- Receives and transfers inmate records to parent institution, Bureau of Sentence Computation, Central Office Records
- Prepares inactive records for shipment to central warehouse
- Audits and stores master records for inmates released under supervision
- Coordinates inmate movements to other institutions and scans documents into OnBase document management system
- Maintain population count to balance with DOTS Portal Snapshot views and the institution Count Officer.
- Coordinate the physical release of inmates when authorized by BORM
- Enter status and reason codes into DOTS Portal
- Responds to inmate inquiries
- Responsible for completing other bureau functions as assigned

Qualifications
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals & percentages & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in records management (e.g., record retention, document management, confidentiality). Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
