CHS Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Feed Operations Supervisor at our Lemmon, SD location, where you’ll take the lead in managing day‑to‑day feed operations and ensuring exceptional service for local producers. In this role, you’ll oversee feed ordering, inventory management, and delivery coordination while supervising a team and maintaining efficient workflows across the department. You’ll work closely with producers and the sales team to support herd nutrition needs, manage feed plant operations, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

- Oversee daily feed operations, including scheduling incoming feed and ingredient deliveries
- Order feed and animal health products, including pre‑season bulk inventory planning
- Coordinate producer feed orders and manage outbound delivery schedules with the sales team
- Provide support and guidance to producers on feed programs and herd health needs
- Maintain feed plant and warehouse cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality
- Manage feed and animal health inventory, including monthly counts and weekly spot checks
- Collaborate with other locations to coordinate logistics and optimize inventory levels
- Process purchase orders, stock entries, and related documentation accurately
- Operate the feed plant as needed and assist with unloading bulk and packaged feed
- Handle regulatory and administrative tasks, including VFDs, prescriptions, invoicing, and testing services
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
- Understanding of basic business principles of inventory management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to motivate and lead team members
- Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet business needs
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Pre‑employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre‑employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMCSA Clearinghouse.
- Ability to stand, sit, twist, bend, lift up to 75 lbs
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending on the position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
