Cost Analyst

• Assemble and provide project cost, commitment, and forecast information to Project Managers and Operations Management
• Coordinate responses from field and operations personnel
• Gather information from internal accounting systems
• Assemble accurate reporting workbooks
• Interpret data to predict project productivity trends
• Develop, maintain, and review cost forecasts, accruals, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle
• Compile and analyze actual job cost data from Vista and VMS and prepare forecasting workbooks
• Collaborate with Project Managers to review change orders, verify committed costs, and support scope change requests
• Assist with project budget setup and earned value structure development at project initiation
• Communicate data and trends clearly and timely to Project and Operations Management
• Support the Stage Gate Process by evaluating project development and control deliverables
• Analyze, optimize, and report on assigned projects, including risk, cost, and schedule performance against multi-year budget plans
• Utilize KPIs and metrics such as CPI and EAC for project cost analysis
• Identify and document cost variances and recommend mitigation strategies

• 5+ years of project controls experience, including cash flow forecasting and analysis
• Experience working independently and in a team environment
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities due to demands and timeline changes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal, client, and regulatory counterparts
• Strong computer skills
• Willingness to learn and operate client-provided programs and systems
• Ability to carry out written or oral instructions
• Ability to perform computations involving electrical power
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and identify urgent issues
• Ability to develop project plans, order resources and materials, hold job kick-off meetings, and identify changes in work scopes

• Ability to perform well under pressure and act prudently concerning the safety of others
• Bachelor's degree required; accounting or business administration preferred
• Minimum of seven years' Project Controls experience building and maintaining cost reports for large programs and projects
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI
• Ability to create clearly written communications

Demonstrates expertise in project controls, including cost forecasting, budget management, and data analysis to optimize project performance. Proficient in utilizing tools like SAP and Power BI for effective reporting and communication with stakeholders.
