J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, Inc. is currently looking for an Estimating Engineer.
This position is based out of our Hackensack, NJ office to assist with the day‑to‑day requirements of the estimating department.
Overall Responsibilities- Assist in the day‑to‑day Estimating operations
- Read construction plans and perform quantity take offs
- Solicit vendors for pricing, quotes on various quantities and materials
- Create bid folders
- Attend pre‑bid meetings
- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar preferred
- Higher level Excel skills are preferred
- Knowledge of Bluebeam, Agtek, and/or other estimating software and methods
- Comfortable working in a team environment and speaking on the phone
