Job Overview

Incumbent will create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment to ensure the holistic development of each student and staff member through cultural, social, spiritual, physical and academic experience. Incumbent will support the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission, which is to provide high quality educational opportunities from early childhood through life while considering a tribe’s cultural and economic well‑being.

• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students and staff.
• Support the BIE mission and educational objectives across all age groups.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Food Handlers Certificate for the state of employment required.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Physical requirement: lift over 50 pounds, excellent physical condition.
• Good distant vision in one eye; ability to read small printed material; glasses permitted.
• Ability to hear conversational voice; hearing aid—if needed—may be used.
• Disability accommodations: amputation of an arm, hand, leg or foot is not disqualifying if compensated by satisfactory prosthesis.
• Pre‑employment and annual medical examination required.
• Professional licenses as required by the position.
