Qualifications &

Experience:

• Valid Special Education certification required
• Experience teaching elementary-aged students, particularly in special education settings
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff
• Strong classroom management and organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students in grades 2-4
• Work one-on-one and in small groups to provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support
• Partner with a classroom paraprofessional to maximize student participation and success
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members
• Create a positive, welcoming environment where every child feels valued and included
