Program Assistant II (4-H Educator)
Location:
Murdo and White River, South Dakota.
South Dakota State University (SDSU) 4-H Programs seeks a collaborative professional passionate about mentoring, guiding, and helping others grow.
Job Responsibilities- Provide timely 4-H Youth Development research based information, resources, education, leadership and support to meet the needs of youth in the county and/or reservation.
- Build relationships to enhance and carry out the mission of SDSU Extension.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Computer systems and software (MS Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Planning, teaching, and evaluating educational programs for a variety of youth audiences.
- Supervisory techniques.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate organizational and time-management skills.
- Work as a contributing member of a team.
- Plan events and manage a budget.
- Collaborate on funding proposals or grants to support new and/or enhanced programming.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child, Youth or Human Development, or other relevant fields with relevant youth development experience.
- Previous 4-H or similar youth development experience.
- Demonstrated use of technology in managing and/or delivering educational programs.
- Experience in publishing materials and/or curricula.
