Schneider Electric France Transfo is based in Ennery, 15km from Metz, 1h30 from Paris by train, near the border with Luxembourg, Belgium, and Germany. The site specializes in the design and production of dry and immersed oil transformers. It has around 300 employees and generates a turnover of more than 100 M€, with over 65% realized in export (Middle East, Europe, Latin America, Asia).
RoleThe main objective of the Industrial Methods team is to lead industrial projects to ensure that the company's products are manufactured under safety and ergonomic conditions, at the required quality level, and as efficiently as possible in accordance with the Schneider Performance System (SPS) philosophy. You will be attached to the Methods and Maintenance service of the factory and will work closely with all other services during your projects (Hygiene and Safety, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Design, etc.).
MissionsSuccessfully manage the implementation of all industrial projects, from the beginning (cost analysis and presentation dossier) to the end (training of users, improvement if necessary, and confirmation of expected results). Be proactive in all projects to comply with Health and Safety/Ergonomics/Environment/Energy recommendations. Continuously analyze and improve assembly and manufacturing techniques through benchmarking, eliminate waste, eliminate any potential quality problems of customer products.
Develop new lines/arrangements, purchases and/or tooling/mold designs, recourse to external companies in a profitable way, digital tools… Improve efficiency to reduce the costs of manufacturing/assembly processes. Be able to lead an interfunctional team to successfully complete all projects. Conduct time/method studies of new and existing tasks to establish time estimates, measure operator performance, and ensure that the most efficient manufacturing and assembly techniques are adopted.
Record all lost time problems and create action plans for root causes. Identify lost times and deduce the unidentified times to be reduced. Ensure standardization between each line/machine and control industrial indicators. Compile complete assembly and product manufacturing operating modes with clear and concise visual instructions/aids, to ensure that users can obtain accurate information on parts or assembly details. In coordination with Quality and Engineering services, lead FMEA and the implementation of Poka Yoke and Jidoka.
The role is based in Ennery (Moselle), you may be required to travel occasionally.
ProfileYou hold an engineering degree in industry, fabrication, mechanics, electrical engineering, or a related field. You demonstrate 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, process optimization, lean manufacturing principles. Your skills include fluent French and advanced English (B2 minimum). You have advanced knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD 2D. Creo would be a plus. You are results-oriented and have a problem-solving mindset.
You show strong leadership to inspire, motivate, and manage across functions. You have a quick learning ability and demonstrate agility, adaptability, anticipation, organization, and, most importantly, good sense. Your extensive field experience allows you to grasp and analyze the situation/data to find improvements based on results.
