Conrad Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer to join our client’s dynamic team in Jersey Shore, New Jersey. This role focuses on the design and development of MEP building systems, with an emphasis on fire alarm and lighting systems.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be part of a team providing consulting engineering services, ensuring all electrical designs meet code requirements and industry standards. The role requires collaboration with project managers and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated building system solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for building projects, including fire alarm systems and lighting
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for creating precise electrical schematics and layouts
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, and fire alarm standards and regulations
- Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and other engineering disciplines
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and specifications
- Maintain an updated knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members when needed
Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential for creating detailed electrical layouts and drawings that adhere to project specifications and client needs. A strong understanding of building systems within a consulting engineering context and relevant technical experience in electrical design are key to success in this position.
Required Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, understanding of NEC, NFPA, and fire alarm standards.
Preferred Skills
Relevant technical experience in electrical design.
